

In today’s society it would appear to be more up and coming artists than ears available to listen. An industry saturated with gimmicks, talent is often overshadowed and substance undervalued, until now. Torrion Dedmon has been thumping the R&B scene with his new single “Loud” Ft. Cali Swag District a true crowd pleaser.
Torrion is a San Diego native the second born child of his 3 siblings, with a story as unique and passionate as the music he introduces to the world. Raised with a musical influence from him and his mother singing in church and his father being a rapper, Unfortunately his parents separated when he was just 13 years of age, Torrion began running away from home and participating in gang activity with his grades going from a 4.0 to barley attending school and experiencing a dangerous lifestyle of sleeping in cars, Laundrymats and wherever he could lay his head.

In 2009 Torrion was sentenced to two years in prison and while incarcerated, he polished out his writing skills and completed several ballads. One of Torrion’s songs that he started writing his senior year in high school and completed while being incarcerated titled “A Woman’s Worth” is a song he feels deeply connected to after witnessing a friend’s mother being abused will soon be released.
Upon release from prison Torrion enrolled in Barbering School and completed obtaining his license, but with a passion to succeed in the music industry Torrion’s line of attack got a chance to perform on 106 & Park’s “Wild Out Wednesday”, to performing on the same stage as Jagged Edge, Ray J and a few more; also a numerous of local performances like at the Kumba Fest. Going through the hardships that Torrion has been through not only is his accomplishment to share with the world his music; but give back to the children. Torrion has volunteered at the YMCA,Coaching basketball at a local high school, The Boys and Girls Club and mentored 12 kids at a place named the TKF Foundation, and plans in the near future to tour High Schools doing public speaking and sharing his music.
With diverse musical influences such as Marvin Gaye, Boyz II Men, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Tank and Chris Brown, there is no wonder Torrion’s approach to R&B is so refreshing. With a refreshment of relevance with songs such as “Starts with me” a commitment to fatherhood and ode to his daughters. Torrion’s novel combination provides an appealing contrast that he wants people to relate to.
